Our Journey: Transforming Lives Since 2020

 

Established in 2020 in Kanpur, IQRA Dwij Foundation has been at the forefront of community support during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond, reinforcing the spirit of togetherness and fostering a brighter future through education.

IQRA Dwij Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) nestled in the heart of Kanpur, India. Our story began in 2020, at a time when the world was grappling with the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. Our founders, driven by the vision to serve the community and uplift the underprivileged, established the Foundation to mitigate the devastating impacts of the pandemic.

During the COVID-19 crisis, we stepped up to the plate, focusing on two key areas—education and emergency relief. The lockdown had adversely affected the education of millions of children, especially from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Through our ‘Digital Education Initiative’, we ensured that the light of education reached every corner of Kanpur. We distributed free tablets loaded with educational content, enabling uninterrupted learning for children confined to their homes.

Parallelly, IQRA Dwij Foundation acted as a beacon of hope by providing essential supplies and health aid to those worst affected by the pandemic. We arranged food drives, distributed PPE kits, and facilitated mobile health clinics, providing immediate relief and support.

In just a few years, IQRA Dwij Foundation has made a significant impact in Kanpur and beyond. However, our journey has just begun. We strive to continue our work, extending our services to reach every person in need and transforming more lives.
